March Find of the Month – stylish floor mats
At GDP Interiors, we bring you a little insider peek into some special products on a regular basis, with our “Find of the month”.
I first spotted these fabulous Vinyl floor mats by Beija Flor at a trade show last year – love at first sight! Since then I have purchased them for clients’ bathrooms, kitchens, under meals table and entrances…. and they’re always a success!
There are so many things I like about this product!
Firstly, the quality… the range is designed and made in Israel. A good portion of the range is available through Australian distributors – though not all. Contact us to find which items are available to you.
The mats are very thick and spongy for vinyl, which is perfect for long periods of standing, say in the kitchen or bathroom. They have a lovely texture too, not flat and ‘tappy’ like you’d imaging vinyl flooring to be.
The pattern and colour range is so vast, there’s something for every décor. From Kilim looks to tessellated tiles and mosaics there are many designs to add a rich layer to the room. The designs have such meticulous detail that they even emulate stitching and wear patterns too. Very authentic looking!
The products are also available in placemats and table runners too, and there are a number of different formats and sizes for the floor.
I recently purchased one for my own home, it was an easy choice. I went straight for the colourful Kilim! It was meant for the kitchen – so I’d have an easily to wipe, soft surface underfoot for those long stretches in the kitchen. However I couldn’t go past how good it looked in the hallway instead! So I guess it’ll be one of those items I move around the house when I mix up the styling from time to time… or I could buy another?
